Daily wax melts January 4th 2013

-Front Porch Candy Cane in the bedroom (24W hot plate). A good strong peppermint scent with a hint of sweetness. Lasted all day long into the night.

-Pics, Petals & Scents Creamy Candy Noel in the 2nd floor (tealight). This was a very weak sweet vanilla scent I didn´t particularly care for.

-Granny´s Kountry Candles Clothesline Fresh in the first floor (25W lightbulb). This scent was way too floral for me so it gave me a headache after a while. It was strong and long-lasting though but I had to pour it out after a few hours.

-Beaux Savons Frais Wildberry Zucchini Bread in the kitchen (tealight). I used 2 donuts and got absolutely nothing from this except for a light zucchini note. When I first got it it was kick-butt strong on cold sniff so I think it was the ziplock bag that sucked the scent out. I replaced it with a cello bag but I think I was too late =(

-Lil Kitchen Candles Vanilla Bean Noel Zucchini Bread (2 cubes) in the living room (24W hot plate). This was so light I barely got anything from this. I am not sure if it need to cure longer or if the scent is light by default. It´s really yummy though.

-Farmhouse Kitchen Candles Toasted Marshmallow in the living room (24W hot plate, all 3 tarts). This was an awesome über-sweet marshmallow scent with great throw and lasting power. So far I liked almost everything from Farmhouse Kitchen Candles, their stuff is really good. Will post my haul next!

  1. Hi Kathi, I tried to post a comment/question for you last week. Not sure if you got it or not. My question is I am looking for a good high quality scented wax tart with good throw and lasting power. What are the top 3 companies you would recomend I try? Also, you seem to order lots of tarts! Do you have to pay for them or, do they send them to you for trying them out and writting about them? Just curious.

  2. My top 3 are probably TBG, CFTKR and FP but there are quite a few more faves on mylist.
I pay for everything except the free samples that many vendors send out with their orders
