Daily wax melts December 19th 2012

-CFTKR Peppermint Cake Bites in the bedroom (24W hot plate). I really enjoyed this tart. It smells like a sweet almost chocolatey peppermint scent. I replaced this with another scent (I think Granny´s Lemon Lavender?) after about 6-7 hours as the scent was gone by then.

-VDC Lemon Sugared Donuts in the first floor (25W light bulb warmer). I was able to melt all 4 in the warmer but I got zero throw from this. I am so glad I am almost done with my VDCs. I think I might even toss the last few ones as I am just hating them lol

-Granny´s Kountry Candles Sleigh Ride in the kitchen (24W hot plate). This was almost undetectable, too. I got a whiff of some typical Xmas scent here and there but overall this was pretty weak.

-Lil Kitchen Candles Serendipty (2 cubes) in the living room (24W hot plate). I love this scent so much and I am so glad I have a monster clamshell of this! It´s the typical Serendipty scent (cherry, sugar, coconut etc.) and even though I generally dislike cherry scent this is just different and totally awesome!

-Front Porch Cake Shoppe in the living room (24W hot plate). I didn´t like this scent. First it was very light and 2nd it had that weird sour or greasy ice-cream-gone-bad-smell. c

Daily wax melts December 18th 2012

-VDC Pink Sugared Delights in the bedroom (24W hot plate). I used 2 and got a very disgusting kind of scent lol. It was gross albeit not strong so I poured this out after about an hour and used Granny´s Kountry Candles Bedtime Bath which was awesome as always!

-Country Home Scent Christmas Hearth in the first floor (in my new 25W light bulb snowman warmer from Scentsationals). This was a very strong tart, it smelled really like a christmas garland but my husband hated the scent lol. Anyway, it lasted all day long and was super strong =P

-The Bathing Garden Flowers & Frost (2 cubes) in my kitchen (tealight). I hated this scent, a sweet floral =X It was strong and long-lasting as to be expected from a scent I dislike hehe!

-CFTKR Sugar Cookie Latte in my living room (24W hot plate). This smelled like a caramel latte to me. I didn´t get the cookie scent but a caramel note. It was pretty good and lasted well through the day with a medium-strong throw.

-Jaimie Lauren Cupcakery & Confections in wax Gourmet Sugar Cookie in the living room (24W hot plate). I couldn´t smell this at all. I mean there was NO throw whatsoever.

-Granny´s Kountry Candles Butterfly Kisses in the bedroom (24W hot plate). This was a very strong floral...yuck! If you love florals, this will be a great pick but for me it was terrible lol

-Front Porch Pink Cupcakes in the first floor (24W hot plate). This was a nice albeit light pink bakery scent. It had a creamy note from the cupcakes. Lasting power was not the greatest though!

-VDC Sweet Cranberry Nut Muffin in the kitchen (tealight). This was awesome, a very strong sweet cranberry bakery scent with good lasting power.

-CFTKR Christmas Kitchen in the living room (24W hot plate). This was an interesting and very delicious scent, I feel it had the sugar milk scent and a creamy caramel bakery note. Throw was about medium, I wish I had had 2 of this to melt to get a better throw. 

-LSC Toasted Marshmallow in the living room (24W hot plate). An awesome sweet marshmallow scent but the throw was soooo light! =( 

Daily wax melts December 15th 2012

I don´t have wax melts to post for 13th and 14th because I used up just some random VDC scents as I really want to finish those. Most had no scent throw at all anyway so nothing to write home about!

So here are yesterday´s melts:
-Pics, Petals & Scents Pine Noel in the bedroom (24W hot plate). I didn´t care for this at all. I just don´t like the VBN scent PPS is using. Also the throw was very light, almost non-existent and the pine was not detectable at all. I replaced it with CFTKR Pink Sugar Milk which is an awesome super strong scent.

-FussAssMcGee Winter Garden in the first floor (24W hot plate). I expected a pine-mint kinda scent but this just smelled like a fresh herbal shampoo. I really enjoyed it and it was pretty strong and long-lasting!

-VDC Pink Sugared Zucchini Bread (both chunks) in the kitchen (tealight). This was delicious but super light only. I could get a whiff of this here and there but overall I couldn´t smell it most of the time!

-CFTKR Marshmallow & Butter Brickle Pie (2 bundt cakes) in the living room (24W hot plate). This was a very light sweet scent. I couldn´t smell it much despite using 2 pieces. 

-Sniff My Tarts Serendipity Sweet Lavender Marshmallow Cake  in the living room (24W hot plate). I first used half of a chunk (I guess it had about 1 1/2 oz) but the scent was so light that I popped in the 2nd half. The scent was really yummy (sweet cherry, marshmallow, lavender, white cake) but not strong enough for my taste. I just got this though so I bet a bit of curing time will help there!

-VDC Early Morning Sunrise Cake in the bedroom (24W hot plate). This was an awesome scent. It was strong and lasted all day long. It was a fresh and fruity bakery scent.

-TBG Faun´s Path (2 cubes) in the first floor (24W hot plate). This was a slightly sweet woodsy Xmas scent and I liked it however it had a weird undertone to it that started to get on my nerves after a while. As for staying power and strength this was fab as to be expected by TBG.

-Jaimie Lauren Cupcakery & Confections in Wax Vanilla Hazelnut Coffee in the kitchen (tealight). I couldn´t smell this at all as it had absolutely no throw!

-Scentsationals Night Before Christmas (2 cubes) in the living room (24W hot plate). I loved this scent a lot! It was strong and slightly fruity (like cider) and still had a fresh note (pine?) to it. Awesome! Lasted all day long, too!

-Lasting Scent Candles Holiday in The Park (24W hot plate) in the living room. Another Xmas scent I truly enjoyed. It smelled also a bit like christmas tree but sweeter! Scent throw and intensity were awesome, too!

Daily wax melts December 7th 2012

-Sniff My Tarts Peppermint Noel in the bedroom (24W hot plate). At first I melted half of the chunk but it was not strong enough (I just received these a few days ago so these had no cure time!) but when I tossed in the rest the scent was awesome! Strong and long-lasting. To me it smelled like a sweet peppermint.

-VDC Iced Lemon Sugar Cookie in the first floor (24W hot plate). I used that whole huge cookie and it scented up my first floor nicely. This was like a cleaner lemon mixed with something sweet, not a bakery lemon in my opinion. It was good as a fresh lemon scent but nothing fancy to me.

-Granny´s Kountry Candles Fruit Drop Cookie in the kitchen (tealight). I really enjoyed this scent, it was pretty strong and lasted decently. The name is pretty self explanatory, it smelled like fruit cake but without rum or so.

-Pics, Petals & Scents The King in the living room (24W hot plate). This was really good on cold sniff but I didn´t care for a certain note in this. Even my daughter commented that she disliked the scent so I had to replace it with something else. The throw and lasting power seemed good though.

-CFTKR Toffee Maple Buttercream in the living room (24W hot plate). This was ooey gooey goodness! A very sweet kind of scent without any spice to it. It was on the border of being too much for me as it started triggering a headache after some time.

Daily wax melts December 3rd 2012

-CFTKR Vanilla Bean Noel Fluff (2 tarts) in the bedroom (24W hot plate). This was an awesome sweet vanilla marshmallow scent. Carol´s marshmallow fluff oil is just so amazing, especially blended with lemon and vanilla bean noel! Throw wasn´t crazy strong though but just the right intensity for my bedroom!

-The Bathing Garden Village Ornament Shop (2 cubes) in the first floor (24W hot plate). This is a fantastic Xmas scent, it´s sweet without any spice, fruity but smells so much like Christmas! Hard to nail this scent actually! It gave off a medium throw and lasted decently (5-6 hours at most).

-Cupcake Candles Lemon Pound Cake in the kitchen (tealight). I got no throw at all from this! I am pretty done with Cupcake Candles, even on cold sniff I barely can smell anything. I wonder if her baggies are eating the oils out?

-VDC Birthday Cake & Ice Cream in the living room (24W hot plate). This had a very faint throw. What I could smell was pretty nice but yea, no throw really from this!

-FussAssMcGee Key Lime Cotton Candy (2 cubes) in the living room (24W hot plate). This smelled sooooo good in the clamshell, unfortunately it had a very light throw, too. =(

-Beaux Savons Frais Pink Leche Cake in the bedroom (24W hot plate). This was a bread-y scent, I couldn´t get much of the pink and no leche (milk) at all =( To me some of BSF scents smell a lot alike, I get this bread-y note in quite a few of her scents and it is starting to get on my nerves. Anyway, this was pretty strong and lasted all day long!

-CFTKR Lime Fluff in the first floor (24W hot plate). As most of the time an awesome scent from CFTKR. I just love her fluff blends! It´s a super sweet sticky marshmallow mixed with limes!

-Front Porch Sweet Dreams in the kitchen (tealight). This was a strong lavender scent and I really didn´t care for it. For some reason I just can´t stand FP´s lavender scent, it´s so weird, harsh and perfumey. So meh on this one!

-VDC Pink Orange Chiffon in the living room (24W hot plate). I really enjoyed this scent, one of the first from VDC I really liked. A medium strong orange bakery scent, pretty awesome!

-LSC Sugar Cookie Royale in the living room (24W hot plate). LSC did not dissapoint as 99% of the time. A gorgeous rich sugar cookie scent with great staying power!

Daily wax melts November 14th 2012

-Scentsy Just Breathe (2 cubes) in the bedroom (25W lightbulb). My favorite scent from Scentsy (and one of the only ones that is performing at all for me). A very fresh minty menthol kinda scent. Unfortunately as with most of my Scentsy bars this was short lived and lost its strength within just 4 hours or so.

-Granny´s Kountry Candles Fresh Bamboo in the first floor (24W hot plate). This was a good clean spa scent and smelled like all the other bamboo scents out there. It was not pungent though so I really and truly enjoyed this. The staying power was pretty good as it lasted pretty much until I poured it out.

-FussAssMcGee Lemon Meringue Pie in the kitchen (tealight). A good clean lemon scent with a touch of sweetness however the lemon part is really predominant. Smelled great and pretty strong until the tealight went out.

-Lasting Scent Candles Sweet Lemon Bread in the living room (24W hot plate). I really loved this scent shot! A very strong sweet lemon bakery scent with a fabulous throw and amazing staying power! Awesome!

-VDC Lala´s Sugar Cookie in the living room (24W hot plate). This was the first VDC product I really enjoyed. This was a sweet awesome almond sugar cookie. The scent was about medium strong and lasted all day long.

Daily wax melts November 11th 2012

-The Bathing Garden Lemon Mint (2 cubes) in the bedroom (24W hot plate). I really love this scent! I melted 2 cubes and it had an excellent throw and was just an awesome fresh mint and lemon scent. Awesome as most of TBG!

-Jaimie Lauren Cupcakery & Confections in Wax in Mandarin Coconut in the first floor (24W hot plate). This smelled really good as it was a nice sweet creamy citrus scent. Scent throw was good and lasting power was great (about 6 hours). 

-Lasting Scent Candles in Honey Maple Bread in the kitchen (tealight warmer). I really liked this scent as initially I got a sweet bread scent with honey however the scent faded within 2 hours max. I just should stick to melting these in my 24W hot plates.

-CFTKR Pink Sugared Fluff in the living room (24W hot plate). This was a bit disappointing as it had only a light throw however the scent itself was amazing. I think this would do way better in my bedroom so I will try it there. In my experience most pink sugar scents are light and marshmallow is a pretty soft scent, too.

-VDC Pink Sugared Chocolate Dream Cake in the living room (24W hot plate). I melted that whole huge bundt cake in my living room. It was a blend of chocolate and pink sugar. I honestly didn´t care for the scent but the throw was alright (about light-medium). Overall a bad performance for such a big piece of wax!

-Kristin´s Kandles Vanilla Velvet in my bedroom (24W hot plate). This was an interesting scent. It smelled very light and creamy in the package but when it melted it was pretty strong. First I got a cinnamon vanilla note. A few hours later it was still strong but then I picked up a powdery vanilla scent. I really liked this and it was strong and long-lasting!

-Tiffany Candles Mango Papaya in the first floor (24W hot plate). I didn´t really get a lot of scent from this tart so I can´t say much about it!

-VDC Peach Sugared ZB (Zucchini Bread) in the kitchen (tealight). I got a light peachy bakery scent from this but it was really just faint and I could just catch a whiff of this here and there when I was standing close to the warmer.

-Ye Olde Candle Cubbard pink Sugar Marshmallows (3 tarts!!) in my living room (24W hot plate). Despite using an estimated 3-4 oz of wax I got absolutely nothing from these tarts. I am done with YOCC and will just use up a few scents that threw a little but I would not order again!

-LSC Pink Sugar Cookie in the living room (24W hot plate). By LSC standards this really performed badly. I got only a very soft scent out of this but after all I could smell something and that was yummy!

Daily wax melts November 5th 2012

-Granny´s Kountry Candles Stress Relief in the bedroom (3 cubes, 24W hot plate). Now this was an awesome herbal scent however the intensity was so low that I had to use half a clamshell. Now I thought usually I use a 2oz scent shot from Granny´s whereas 3 cubes from the clamshell are only about 1.75 oz so to me it sounds about logic to use half a clamshell. To many users it may look uneconomical but for me that´s ok and pretty cost-effective however I might buy two 2oz scent shots rather than 1 clamshell next time as I think it comes out to be a few cents cheaper that way. Still not a product that blows me away. Will let the other 3 cubes cure a bit longer to see if the scent strength will improve as this was poured pretty recently.

-The Bathing Garden Pretty Woman (2 cubes) in the first floor (24W hot plate). I am not a big floral person but I just mentioned in another daily melts post that I can take some rose scents. Pretty Woman is a nice powdery rose with a layer of creamy vanilla on top. They blend nicely into a creamy sweet rose scent with a strong throw and great lasting power.

-Scentsationals Crispy Apples (2 cubes) in the kitchen (tealight). This was a totally overpowering headache-inducing fake apple scent. I had to pour it out after half an hour and replace it with something else as the scent made me sick.

-CFTKR Wildberry Mousse Indian Bread (2 slices, 24W hot plate). While I love CFTKR I am slowly coming to the conclusion that I dislike most berry scents, especially sickly sweet ones like this. I had to pour this out and replace it as this made me sick, too.

-VDC Lemon Chiffon in the living room (tealight). Nothing to write about this, it had zero throw!

-Pics, Petals & Scents Apple Cider Bread (1 stick) in my kitchen (tealight). This was my replacement for that gross apple scent from Scentsationals. This was awesome, a slightly spice albeit not overpowering scent. It threw really well and lasted the whole tealight long (a 6-hr one). P,P&S is just an awesome vendor!!

-CFTKR Serendipity Noel in the living room (24W hot plate). My replacement for the wildberry scent and it was awesome! The serendipity wasn´t as sweet as the berry scent and the sweet vanilla bean note made it overall a yummy treat! Lasted all day long!

-Kristin´s Kandles Baby´s Bath in my bedroom (24W hot plate). As always this was awesome, a sweet and gentle baby bath scent. Love it!

-The Bathing Garden Tinsel (2 cubes) in the first floor (24W hot plate). This was a strong fruity/peppermint scent and lasted all day long. However I got somehow sick of this scent so I destashed the last 2 cubes and not planning on using this again.

-Scentsationals Plum Cranberry Cider (1 cube) in my kitchen (tealight). This gave of a super strong scent throw for the first hour but then there was hardly a scent left. I figured that most Scentsationals scents need 2 cubes even though the scent might knock you down for the first hour that way lol. This was a sweet cider scent without too much spice (as I am really sensitive to spicey scents).

-CFTKR English Breakfast Zucchini (2 slices) in my living room (24W hot plate). This is an awesome orange zucchini brad blend. Really love this! Smelled pretty strong and lasted most of the day.

-VDC Chocolate Mint Cookie in my living room (24W hot plate). This was alright, a light chocolate mint scent. Nothing that overly impressed me though.

Victoria´s Designer Creations Haul

I placed an order with VDC back on July 10th. I knew that her TAT is a bit longer but I received my order mid of October. That´s 3 months and that´s way too long. I got all kinds of excuses and I was given a tracking number in September and since there was no movement in the tracking I asked about my order status and the owner told me that she was having issues with the PO or the distribution center or something. 
I never believed her and didn´t bother to check the tracking number anymore and finally one day my package showed up.

Now everything looks gorgeous but I am not impressed at all with the scent throw. None of the ones I melted so far gave off a scent so I am disappointed. I will let everything cure a bit longer but I can already say that I am definitely not going to order from VDC again. There were also some discussions in my favorite wax group on facebook and it seems that many customers got the lame PO issues story so yea, I am done with VDC.

Had a couple of duds that day =(

-Tiffany Candles Pink Peppermint in my bedroom (24W hot plate). No need to write much about this as I reviewed it before =D It´s an awesome fresh but sweet blend of peppermint and pink sugar. As always it was strong and lasted till I poured it out!

-Scentsationals Grapefruit Sage in the first floor (1 cube). This was a really good fresh and super strong fruity scent. The sage was toning down the sweetness, all in all this was more zesty and tart. Really lovely! Scent throw was amazing, almost overpowering and lasting power was great, too.

-Better Homes & Gardens Chocolate Peppermint Truffle (2 cubes) in my kitchen (tealight). This was a very light mint chocolate scent. The throw wasn´t that great and it didn´t last long either. I got this in a destash so it might have been a bit older already.

-Victoria´s Designer Creations Million Dollar Shortbread in my living room (24W hot plate). This didn´t win a million in my book, it won nothing lol. It had no throw even though I tossed in the whole big loaf. If I put my nose right on top of the warmer I got a whiff of something sweet but all in all this was a dud.

-LSC Sticky Blackberry Latte in my living room (24W hot plate). I am not a coffee scent lover but this was seriously nice. The coffee note was very faint, I smelled mainly the tart juicy blackberry with a light bakery note. Awesome! Strong and long lasting, too!

I wasn´t home most of the afternoon but these lovely scents were greeting me when I came back home:

-Scentsationals Peppermint Vanilla in my bedroom (1 cube, 24W hot plate). This was awesome! While this definitely is a softer sweeter scent it went strong all day long. It reminded me a bit of Marshmallow Peppermint from Slatkin albeit maybe sweeter. I really enjoyed this scent!

-Beaux Savons Frais Mardi Gras in the 1st floor (2 cubes, 24W hot plate). This was a light citrus scent which lasted through the day however as I said it was light, a bit too light for my taste. I think I´ll let this cure couple more weeks and the try it again. The other BSF stuff I tried so far was fab!

-Country Home Scent Marshmallow Candy Corn Fluff in my kitchen (tealight). This smelled awesome cold, a creamy sweet fluffy candy corn however it was so weak I could not smell it. I have to stop burning these in a tealight warmer, I think the only time I get a bit scent out is in my 24W hot plate!

-Victoria´s Designer Creations Lady Baltimore Cake in my living room (24W hot plate). This had a decent scent throw but I didn´t like the smell itself. It had a weird undertone but I can´t nail down what it was. Anyway, I only had this one so I will not smell this again hehe

-FussAssMcGee Pink S´mores in my living room (24W hot plate). These tarts are so cute, they are shaped like bats and skulls! I used 5 pcs and got a light-medium scent out. I really liked the scent, it was pleasant but light so a bit more strength wouldn´t have hurt. Maybe I´ll put 6 of these in next time though. 

Daily wax melts October 17th 2012

-CFTKR Sugar Milk in my bedroom (24W hot plate). This was a friggin awesome scent! I actually already put this in my hot plate on 16th in the afternoon and had it going through half the night, then switched it on again in the morning and it was still going strong till the afternoon. So I think I got at least 18hrs of scent out of this tart! An amazing bedroom scent, smells like sweet frothy milk and the throw was amazing despite this being a gentle and soft scent. I really enjoyed this scent so much and will order a big bag once there is one in stock. I also recommended to Carol to introduce this blended with lavender so will see if she will eventually make one!

-Kristin´s Kandles Country Clothesline in the first floor (24W hot plate). This was a lightweight laundry scent. I really enjoyed this as it was not as intense as most laundry scents. Still it made everything smell fresh and clean so this was pretty awesome. I had it going all day long and it didn´t fade.

-Shayz Scentz Almond Cake Cookies (2 tarts!) in my kitchen (tealight warmer). I got no scent out of these tarts whatsoever. Cold these smell really good but as I said, zilch throw. =(

-Victoria´s Designer Creations Pink Zucchini Bread in my living room (24W hot plate). I am going to post about my VDC haul soon. It was far more than unpleasant. Anyway, this tart looked pretty but there was pretty much no throw at all so it was an utter disappointment

-Lasting Scent Candles Peach Vanilla Cupcake in my living room (24W hot plate). This however was awesome and had a medium-strong throw all day long. It was such a lovely sweet vanilla peach scent until I poured it out at night. I didn´t really get a bakery note but it was gorgeous nonetheless.

I knew in the morning that I needed some lemon fluff!

-Victoria's Designer Creations Pomegranate Cheesecake in my 20W warmer in the first floor. I got this in a destash box and it was a strong long-lasting fruity scent. Not my favorite though.

-Sweet Fixations Thin Mint in my tealight warmer in the kitchen. This had absolutely no scent throw whatsoever. I am definitely not ordering again from SF as I wasn't impressed with any of them.

-CFTKR Lemon Fluff in my 24W hot plate warmer in the living room. Awesome scent, a super sweet marshmallow lemon scent with a strong throw and great lasting power. One of my top fave scents of all time!

Today I turned on my melters rather early so I melted a 2nd round hence 2 parts.

-Kristin's Kandles Baby's Bath in a tealight warmer in the first floor. A nice clean baby bath kinda scent. Scent throw was a bit light but detectable.

-The Bathing Garden Sandalwood Layered Coconut (2 cubes) in a tealight warmer in the kitchen. An interesting creamy sandalwood scent with a medium-strong throw and good longevity. Much better than I expected!

-Victoria's Designer Creations (I think, no brand listed) in Cherry Orange Bubblegum on the 24W hot plate in the living room. This cake-style tart went through a lot ad it seems lol. I got it in a destash box. It's a super soft greasy wax so it's like a scoopable. Smells really awesome but scented my living area only slightly (and I used a really big piece).
