-FussAssMcGee Cucumber Mint in the bedroom (2 cubes, 24W hot plate). This was a good strong fresh scent...after a while the cucumber came out a bit more than I necessarily like but all i all a good relaxing scent with great throw!
-Heavenleigh Apothecary Easter Bunny Burps in the first floor (2 cubes, 24W hot plate). This is the standard Bunny Burps scent, a fresh green mix. It wasn´t really strong though so I didn´t get much out of this. To be fair I have to say this didn´t really get much cure time and it´s soy so it will probably get stronger.
-Lil´Kitchen Candles Waffle Cone in the kitchen (both tarts, tealight). I really enjoyed this sweet lavender scent. It was about medium strong and lingered for a good while before it died down (after about 6 hours I´d say).
-TBG Apple Hearts (2 cubes) in the living room (tealight). I am really not a big fan of apple scents but this was such an awesome sweet scent! It smelled like a tart green apple with a very sweet topping of marshmallow and toffee. It had a good throw even without curing a long time so I bet it´ll be kick-butt after a few more weeks!
-HHS Granma´s Blackberry Jam Butter Cookies in the living room (1 big heart, 24W hot plate). I didn´t like this scent as the blackberry was kinda perfumey =( But the throw was really strong and long-lasting!
-CFTKR Pink Sugared Serendipity (2 squares) and Ice Cream Scoop Bread (2 slices) in the living room (24W hot plate). For some reason I could neither smell the serendipity part nor the ICSB..just pink sugar and it did cause a slight headache. The whole scent was overpowered by the HHS scent in addition. I love Carol´s Serendipity blends but not the Pink Sugared Serendipity as the PS is too strong for my taste.
-FussAssMcGee Sweet Dreams in the bedroom (2 cubes, 24W hot plate). A good laundry detergent/lavender scent. I really enjoyed this and it was pretty strong and lasted well through the day.
-CFTKR Chubba Dubba in the first floor (24W hot plate). This was a great sweet citrus scent with maybe a green note. It was medium strong and had mediocre staying power. Not the best from CFTKR but the scent was good.
-TBG Pirate Punch in the kitchen (2 cubes, tealight). I couldn´t smell this much but I got a whiff of this here and there. It was a fruity scent with a hint of maybe rum? Nothing I´d repurchase.
-HHS Granmas Pink Zucchini Bread (2 tarts, 24W hot plate) in the living room. The pink note was very strong and perfumey whereas the zuke bread didn´t come through well enough for my taste. It was ok but not my favorite blend.
-Front Porch Loopy Serendipity in the living room (24W hot plate). Awesome scent though a bit strong on the fruit loops. This threw really well and smelled amazing. Good lasting power, too! Love this!
-Sniff My Tarts Pink Candy Cane in the bedroom (24W hot plate). This was a good standard pink sugar peppermint scent however for being such a large chunk the throw was pretty light.
-FussAssMcGee Plaid PJs in the 2nd floor (2 cubes, tealight). This was a very regular laundry detergent scent and it was pretty strong and lasted well through most of the day.
-Kissing Booth Goodnight in the 1st floor (25W lightbulb, 2 cubes). I enjoyed this baby-bath shampoo kinda scent however it was a bit on the lighter side.
-Granny´s Kountry Candles Sugar Cookie in the kitchen (2 cubes, tealight). This had pretty much no scent throw at all. Really a shame =(
-CFTKR Caramel Pecan Twist in the living room (24W hot plate). I had to pour this out within 5 minutes as it had a vomit-y smell...yikes!
-LSC Vanillalicious in the living room (24W hot plate). I didn´t get much from this one, it was a kind of bland vanilla scent with none-light throw.
Not a good melting day for me but the 2 living room scents I had to replace with something else (I think some serendipity blends?).
-Lasting Scent Candles Pink Marshmallow Snow in the bedroom (24W hot plate). A good sweet pink sugar marshmallow peppermint scent. I got mainly just a pink sugar peppermint with a slight touch of marshmallow. Was pretty strong and long-lasting, too.
-FussAssMcGee Pie Crust in the 2nd floor. This had zero throw. I think that FussAssMcGee do fresh scents well but most of the bakery sucks.
-Granny´s Kountry Candles Lemongrass & Sage in the first floor (25W lightbulb). This was a nice light-medium fresh herbal scent with good staying power.
-Farmhouse Kitchen Candles Gingerbread Brulé in the kitchen (tealight). This was a bit too spicy for my taste, I am just not into cinnamons, clove etc. Throw was about medium but I had to pour it out nonetheless.
-Front Porch Pink Sugared Bread in the living room (24W hot plate). This was really good (fresh bread and sweet pink sugar) but not quite strong enough for my taste. I really think I am suffering from candle nose these days =X
-SMT Malted Milk in the living room (24W hot plate). This was really strong, a chocolatey scent (reminded me of the Ovomaltine drink if you are familiar with that one). I had to pour this out as this was making me really sick. =(
-Jaimie Lauren Cupcakery & Confections in Wax in Cotton Candy in the bedroom (24W hot plate). A really nice sweet cotton candy scent. It was light-medium and I could smell it until I changed to a peppermint scent to sleep at night.
-Kissing Booth Tough Cookie (2 cubes, tealight) in the 2nd floor. Zero throw, ´nuff said.
-FussAssMcGee Snowflake (2 cubes) in the first floor (25W lightbulb). This one was super strong and super horrible. I hated this scent. It was fresh but it had a note to it that turned my stomach...even my daughter complained that it was the grossest scent ever lol. This didn´t survive in the warmer for long lol
-Country Home Scent Warm Orange Danish in the kitchen (tealight). This had almost no scent to it at all. I gave up on CHS and tossed the last tarts I had. Time to move on, this vendor is gone anyways.
-CFTKR Caramel Velvet Crunch in the living room (24W hot plate). I don´t know, I think many of CFTKR´s caramel scents are not computing with my nose.... they tend to have this sickening gross burnt wax smell after a short time. I put away most of her caramels in a box and don´t plan on using them again. She has too many other great blends to waste my time on the bad ones.
-Lasting Scent Candles Amaretto Panettone Bread in the living room (24W hot plate). This was a good sweet almond bakery scent but it was neither strong nor really lasting. I think I replaced the 2 in the living room after a short while but I can´t remember with what.
-Kissing Booth Sweet Dreams in the bedroom (3 cubes, 24W hot plate). A pink sugar peppermint blend but one that packs no punch. I got a very light throw from this only.
-Pics, Petals & Scents Pink Apple in the 2nd floor (tealight). I got pretty much nothing from this tart at all.
-CFTKR Lavender Laundry in the first floor (25W lightbulb). This did surprisingly well despite using a lighbulb (CFTKR usually needs 24W hot plate melters only). A nice medium laundry detergent/lavender mix.
-Lil´ Kitchen Candles Elf Sweat in the kitchen (2 pcs, tealight). This was super strong! A fizzy fruity scent with a slight sour note. Really great stuff!
-FussAssMcGee Sugar Cookie Dough Bread (3 cubes) in the living room (24W hot plate). I got only a *very* light throw from this scent so I replaced it just after a few hours.
-Sniff My Tarts Lemon Danish Pink Sticky Marshmallow in the living room (24W hot plate). This was from a mixed chunk lot and it was actually a blend I made for my sale order. This was really delicious but not quite strong enough. I got a sweet lemon bakery scent with pink and a creamy marshmallow note.
-FussAssMcGee Lavender Fields in the bedroom (2 cubes, 24W hot plate). A good herbal fresh lavender scent with medium-strong throw and great lasting power.
-Haley´s Heavenly Scents Pink Mountain Dew (2 cubes, tealight). Awesome fizzy lemonade scent mixed with pink sugar. This was super strong and wafted throughout my house. Lasted through 2 tealights straight!
-LSC Lemonilla in the first floor (25W lightbulb). I got nothing from this whatsoever but I am not sure if it´s the scent or the warmer not working well with LSC.
-Country Home Scent Raspberry Marshmallow Creme in the kitchen (tealight). No scent throw from this either. =( I wonder if I am having a candle nose or can´t smell certain types of wax or something but anyway, I could not smell anything.
-CFTKR Southern Crunch (2 tarts) in the living room (24W hot plate). A good sweet caramel scent with below average staying power. After 2-3 hours there was nothing left but a gross hot waxy smell that made me sick. I think CFTKR´s caramel scents don´t really compute with me as either they make me sick or they leave a weird smell afterwards. But her other stuff is awesome =)
-Sniff My Tarts Marshmallow Cocoa Peppermint in the living room (24W hot plate). I love this scent! The cocoa in this is really a powdered cocoa scent and not chocolate. The peppermint was very light but the sweet marshmallow and cocoa were strong and delicious!
-Granny´s Kountry Candles Sinus Relief in the bedroom (24W hot plate). A go-to scent for me. It´s not really a Vick´s Vapo Rub kinda scent but it´s a fresh minty menthol kind of scent. It was medium strong and lasted for a good amount of time (6-7 hours). Now going to replace it.
-FussAssMcGee Holiday Romance (tealight, 2 cubes) in the 2nd floor. This is a men´s cologne scent and I got a bit of a throw but not as strong as I expected. Lasted through a 4-hour tealight.
-Country Home Scent Scent of Christmas in the first floor (25W lightbulb). Now this was a good one from CHS! While I can´t describe the scent itself it was just a great Christmas scent so I think it had a bit of cinnamon, berries, maybe pine and I really enjoyed it. Lasted well and threw really nicely!
-Pics, Petals & Scents Blueberry Muffin in the kitchen (tealight). This was one of the strongest scents today! I could smell it throughout the whole ground floor. It was just the usual blueberry muffin scent but it was strong!
-Sniff My Tarts Lemon Cheesecake Sticky Marshmallow in the living room (24W hot plate). At first it was awesome, this scent was sooooo good! Unfortunately I couldn´t smell anything after an hour or so.
-LSC Pink Sugar Cookie in the living room (24W hot plate). This was another almost scent-less tart. It was so very light I didn´t get anything =(
-Kissing Booth Slow Your Roll (2 cubes) in the bedroom (24W hot plate). A nice eucalyptus spearmint scent but it was not that overly strong. I still want to let these cure a little longer.
-FussAssMcGee Peppermint Bark in the 2nd floor (tealight warmer). This was a really good peppermint bark scent. There was a bit of chocolate and more mint and it was strong and lasted through a tealight easily. Good stuff!!
-Lil´ Kitchen Candles Lemon Lush Cheesecake in the first floor (25W lightbulb). Another great scent that day! The lemon was predominant but I also got the sour cheesecake note. This was a medium-strong scent and lasted about 6 hours before it started to change into a slightly weird lemon scent.
-Country Home Christmas Wishes in the kitchen (tealight). Another unscented pc of wax, I didn´t get anything whatsoever!
-Beaux Savons Frais Pink Strawberry Cornbread (2 donuts) in the living room (24W hot plate). I got a very light throw from these. I do believe that it´s to blame on the bags and I asked BSF about the bags and they said that they didn´t use scent-safe bags until recently so I rebagged all my BSF tarts however many seem already pretty scent-less and this was among them. A real shame as it smelled good initially.
-Granny´s Kountry Candles Classic Sugar Doughnut (2 pcs) in the living room (24W hot plate). The scent was light-medium at best but it was a yummy sugar cookie scent. I didn´t get any doughnut though. Wasn´t the longest lasting tart so I replaced this and the BSF tarts after some hours.
-FussAssMcGee Just Breathe in the bedroom (3 cubes, 24W hot plate). This is a nicely strong peppermint scent. I noticed however that the intensity starts to fade after just a few hours. I still love it though!
-Country Home Scent SnowAngels in the 2nd floor (tealight). I put a tealight warmer in the area in front of my bedroom (as my bedroom takes up the rest of the 2nd floor). This was a very mellow slightly sweet scent and I could hardly smell anything unfortunately =(
-LSC Citrus Mint in the first floor (25W lightbulb warmer). This was very soft but I could smell a fresh clean scent all day long. I expected a mix of citrus and mint insanely strong though!
-Front Porch Caramel Cheesecake in the kitchen (tealight warmer). I initially didn´t intend to melt this tart as it smelled so much like cinnamon on cold throw however when I melted it it was delicious! I could smell the sour cheesecake note and a bit of cinnamon and caramel. And it was strong, even in the tealight warmer.
-Lil´ Kitchen Candles Sugar Cookie Dough Bread Zucchini (zucchini is not printed but it´s the blend, she just forgot it) in the living room (2 cubes, 24W hot plate). This was delicious and it was strong! I smelled the creamy zucchini and the sweet sugar cookie dough bread. Lasted most of the day! Awesome!
-CFTKR Orange Caramel Zucchini Bread (3 slices) in the living room (24W hot plate). Another awesome scent of that day! A sweet bakery orange with creamy zucchini bread. Love it! Strong and long-lasting, too! Btw 2 slices might have been sufficient but I popped in another slice as I wanted a very strong scent.
-Kissing Booth Skating Rink (2 cubes) in the bedroom (24W hot plate).This was a pretty soft peppermint scent. I could definitely smell it but it was lighter than most other mint scents so this was nothing special at all.
-FussAssMcGee Pillow Fight (2 hearts) in the first floor (25W lightbulb). As the name suggest this was just a regular clean linen/laundry detergent scent. The throw was about medium-strong and it lasted all day long. I liked this but I didn´t love it.
-Granny´s Kountry Candles Lime Crescent Cookie (2 cubes) in the kitchen (tealight). This was a really strong key lime pie-kinda scent. After a few hours it started smelling off though, like incense?! Anyway, I really enjoyed it initially and for the first hours so I am looking forward to using up the rest of the clamshell.
-LSC Orange Cream Cake in the living room (24W hot plate). An awesome quite strong orange bakery scent, it reminded me of the usual hot orange danish scents from other vendors. And just like those the orange started to overpower the bakery note after about 3-4 hours and got a weird slightly waxy smell.
-Lil Kitchen Candles Pink Fruit Loops (2 cubes) in the living room (24W hot plate). I love these monster clamshells! The blocks of wax are pretty hefty so 2 are plenty of wax. The scent was strong and yummy, the fruit loops being the stronger note of the 2 of course. It lasted all day long but mellowed out after about 5-6 hours.
I couldn´t resist hopping onto FussAssMcGee´s Black Friday haul (though I purchased on Cyber Monday, it was the same offer). I got free shipping and some discount (I don´t remember...20-25% off maybe?) so it was a really reasonably priced haul. I had intended to pick up some of their Xmas stuff anyway so it was the right timing =) My haul shipped on December 4th which was pretty quick considering the flood of orders the vendor received.
FussAssMcGee has performed well for the most part recently but a good cure time of 2+ weeks is needed in my opinion.
I don´t have wax melts to post for 13th and 14th because I used up just some random VDC scents as I really want to finish those. Most had no scent throw at all anyway so nothing to write home about!
So here are yesterday´s melts:
-Pics, Petals & Scents Pine Noel in the bedroom (24W hot plate). I didn´t care for this at all. I just don´t like the VBN scent PPS is using. Also the throw was very light, almost non-existent and the pine was not detectable at all. I replaced it with CFTKR Pink Sugar Milk which is an awesome super strong scent.
-FussAssMcGee Winter Garden in the first floor (24W hot plate). I expected a pine-mint kinda scent but this just smelled like a fresh herbal shampoo. I really enjoyed it and it was pretty strong and long-lasting!
-VDC Pink Sugared Zucchini Bread (both chunks) in the kitchen (tealight). This was delicious but super light only. I could get a whiff of this here and there but overall I couldn´t smell it most of the time!
-CFTKR Marshmallow & Butter Brickle Pie (2 bundt cakes) in the living room (24W hot plate). This was a very light sweet scent. I couldn´t smell it much despite using 2 pieces.
-Sniff My Tarts Serendipity Sweet Lavender Marshmallow Cake in the living room (24W hot plate). I first used half of a chunk (I guess it had about 1 1/2 oz) but the scent was so light that I popped in the 2nd half. The scent was really yummy (sweet cherry, marshmallow, lavender, white cake) but not strong enough for my taste. I just got this though so I bet a bit of curing time will help there!
-CFTKR Vanilla Bean Noel Fluff (2 tarts) in the bedroom (24W hot plate). This was an awesome sweet vanilla marshmallow scent. Carol´s marshmallow fluff oil is just so amazing, especially blended with lemon and vanilla bean noel! Throw wasn´t crazy strong though but just the right intensity for my bedroom!
-The Bathing Garden Village Ornament Shop (2 cubes) in the first floor (24W hot plate). This is a fantastic Xmas scent, it´s sweet without any spice, fruity but smells so much like Christmas! Hard to nail this scent actually! It gave off a medium throw and lasted decently (5-6 hours at most).
-Cupcake Candles Lemon Pound Cake in the kitchen (tealight). I got no throw at all from this! I am pretty done with Cupcake Candles, even on cold sniff I barely can smell anything. I wonder if her baggies are eating the oils out?
-VDC Birthday Cake & Ice Cream in the living room (24W hot plate). This had a very faint throw. What I could smell was pretty nice but yea, no throw really from this!
-FussAssMcGee Key Lime Cotton Candy (2 cubes) in the living room (24W hot plate). This smelled sooooo good in the clamshell, unfortunately it had a very light throw, too. =(
-Granny´s Kountry Candles Birthday Cake in the bedroom (24W hot plate). I used the whole clamshell at once and got a yummy very light vanilla cake scent. I really loved the scent but it´s not worth repurchasing if I need a whole clamshell for one melt! This is in her old wax though so I might order another one to see if the newer version has a better throw!
-FussAssMcGee Pink Zebra (2 cubes) in the first floor (24W hot plate). This was a fruity scent with a light-medium throw and very average lasting power (4-5 hours).
-Scentsationals Almond Biscotti (2 cubes) in the kitchen (tealight). A good solid almond bakery scent with good intensity and decent staying power.
-CFTKR Comfy Home in the living room (24W hot plate). I was in the mood for some rich caramel and maple scents in the living room. Comfy Home is a very pretty sweet caramel scent with a bit of a bakery note. Really enjoyed it while it lasted (replaced it after about 6-7 hours with any random CFTKR sample)
-LSC Honey Maple Bread in the living room (24W hot plate). This was awesome, too! I could smell a sweet maple with sweet honey and a light bakery note. Stayed strong through most of the day but I did replace this, too! (also some random CFTKR sample I reviewed here before).
-FussAssMcGee Sleeping Beauty in the bedroom (2 tarts, 24W hot plate). A really awesome sweet lavender scent. This was pretty strong and lasted all day long!
-CFTKR Elf Sweat in the first floor (24W hot plate). Elf Sweat is a scent of various sweets (like candy cane, candy corn, syrup maybe etc.) with an effervescent note. To me it smelled pretty much like a sweet champagne scent. It was good but not my favorite. Lasting power and strength were great though!
-Pics, Petals & Scents Blueberry Zucchini Bread in the kitchen (tealight). This was fantastic and I am not usually much into blueberry scents! It was a sweet zucchini bread with the right amount of sweet blueberries. The intensity was perfect and the staying power as well!
-Tiffany Candles Birthday Bash (2 gingerbread men) in the living room (24W hot plate). I could not smell this at all...Nothing! And it was sooooo good cold! It´s a mix of fruit loops, toasted marshmallow and birthday cake but as I said...zero throw!
-Lasting Scent Candles Sweet Gooey Pumpkin in the living room (24W hot plate). I really enjoyed this sweet slightly spicy pumpkin scent. As I mentioned before I am not into pumpkin scents but this was really awesome! Fabulous staying power and throw on this one, too!
-FussAssMcGee Cat Nap (2 cubes) in the bedroom (24W hot plate). This was an awesome medium strong lavender vanilla scent which lasted all day long. Really liked this one a lot! And the label is soooo cute! =)
-Birdland Paradise Sage & Lemongrass (both tarts) in the first floor (24W hot plate). This was a very light fresh scent. A bit more oomph would have been awesome but it was pretty nonetheless.
-La Dolce Vita Peppermint Bark (2 cubes) in the kitchen (tealight). I liked this peppermint chocolate scent, it was really yummy. However the staying power was really weak, after about 1-2 hours I couldn´t smell anything anymore. I feel the tealight warmer in the kitchen is tricky, many tarts don´t throw there...probably because the kitchen is pretty open so the softer scents dissipate too much...Whatever!
-Granny´s Kountry Candles Sour Cream & Cinnamon Coffee Cake in the living room (24W hot plate). I really loved this off cold throw even though it contains cinnamon! It is like a creamy cinnamon coffee scent. It threw really only very light though!
-Sniff My Tarts Fruity Pebbles Type in the kitchen (24W hot plate). An awesome lemon bakery scent! It was pretty light for the first 30 mins but then it started kicking in! Loved this!
-Scentsy Just Breathe (2 cubes) in the bedroom (25W lightbulb). My favorite scent from Scentsy (and one of the only ones that is performing at all for me). A very fresh minty menthol kinda scent. Unfortunately as with most of my Scentsy bars this was short lived and lost its strength within just 4 hours or so.
-Granny´s Kountry Candles Fresh Bamboo in the first floor (24W hot plate). This was a good clean spa scent and smelled like all the other bamboo scents out there. It was not pungent though so I really and truly enjoyed this. The staying power was pretty good as it lasted pretty much until I poured it out.
-FussAssMcGee Lemon Meringue Pie in the kitchen (tealight). A good clean lemon scent with a touch of sweetness however the lemon part is really predominant. Smelled great and pretty strong until the tealight went out.
-Lasting Scent Candles Sweet Lemon Bread in the living room (24W hot plate). I really loved this scent shot! A very strong sweet lemon bakery scent with a fabulous throw and amazing staying power! Awesome!
-VDC Lala´s Sugar Cookie in the living room (24W hot plate). This was the first VDC product I really enjoyed. This was a sweet awesome almond sugar cookie. The scent was about medium strong and lasted all day long.
-Granny´s Kountry Candles in Storm Watch in my bedroom (24W hot plate). This was super strong and long lasting. A pretty soft fresh floral with maybe a hint of citrus. The scent cup scented up my whole bedroom without any problem!
-FussAssMcGee Sweet Dreams (2 cubes) in the first floor (24W hot plate). This was a good clean fresh lavender laundry scent. Scent throw was pretty good and staying power ditto.
-Birdland Paradise Silver Fir (2 tarts) in the kitchen (tealight). This smelled good cold but when melted this was a very strong powdery floral so I had to pour it out (headache alert!!)
-Lasting Scent Candles Tres Leches Cake in the living room (24W hot plate). I really liked this sweet milky bakery scent. The intensity wasn´t too great though and it faded pretty quick =(
-Tiffany Candles jar of hearts in Christmas Cookies, Breakfast at Tiffany´s and Buttercream Cupcake (1 gingerbread man in each scent) in the living room (24W hot plate). The scent combination was awesome though the buttercream cupcake scent has a weird sour cheesy note I am not that fond of. The scent was pretty strong and lasting power was average (4-5 hours).
I placed yet another order with FussAssMcGee as I have been really happy with their products lately! I got a bunch of clamshells, cookie shaped melts and so forth.
I also got another bag of their pink s´mores scent as I really love it!
