Birdland Paradies haul

I did another haul from Birdland Paradise on Etsy as I love Carol´s warmers and everything else she is selling as it´s really all amazing! She is making the warmers from scratch and she said her rabbit warmers were inspired by my bunnies =D We have been in contact for about a year now and I collected quite a few of her warmers (mainly the ones with the bunnies) and I use some of them every day (whenever you read in my daily melts about tea light warmers they´re from her!). She´s super sweet and I really love her <3
I also got her whipped soap and it´s amazing! It´s really creamy and feels like whipped cream unlike most other "whipped" soaps you can get on Etsy that are rock solid by the time you get them. Carol said it´s tricky to produce those creamy soaps so many do it wrong.
Furthermore I picked up a bunch of her beautiful soaps. She sent extras (tarts, tea lights, some soaps, a small lotion) and as always everything was shipped within like 24 hours or even less!

 

Daily wax melts November 20th 2012

-FussAssMcGee Cat Nap (2 cubes) in the bedroom (24W hot plate). This was an awesome medium strong lavender vanilla scent which lasted all day long. Really liked this one a lot! And the label is soooo cute! =)

-Birdland Paradise Sage & Lemongrass (both tarts) in the first floor (24W hot plate). This was a very light fresh scent. A bit more oomph would have been awesome but it was pretty nonetheless.

-La Dolce Vita Peppermint Bark (2 cubes) in the kitchen (tealight). I liked this peppermint chocolate scent, it was really yummy. However the staying power was really weak, after about 1-2 hours I couldn´t smell anything anymore. I feel the tealight warmer in the kitchen is tricky, many tarts don´t throw there...probably because the kitchen is pretty open so the softer scents dissipate too much...Whatever!

-Granny´s Kountry Candles Sour Cream & Cinnamon Coffee Cake in the living room (24W hot plate). I really loved this off cold throw even though it contains cinnamon! It is like a creamy cinnamon coffee scent. It threw really only very light though!

-Sniff My Tarts Fruity Pebbles Type in the kitchen (24W hot plate). An awesome lemon bakery scent! It was pretty light for the first 30 mins but then it started kicking in! Loved this!

Daily wax melts November 13th 2012

-Granny´s Kountry Candles in Storm Watch in my bedroom (24W hot plate). This was super strong and long lasting. A pretty soft fresh floral with maybe a hint of citrus. The scent cup scented up my whole bedroom without any problem!

-FussAssMcGee Sweet Dreams (2 cubes) in the first floor (24W hot plate). This was a good clean fresh lavender laundry scent. Scent throw was pretty good and staying power ditto.

-Birdland Paradise Silver Fir (2 tarts) in the kitchen (tealight). This smelled good cold but when melted this was a very strong powdery floral so I had to pour it out (headache alert!!)

-Lasting Scent Candles Tres Leches Cake in the living room (24W hot plate). I really liked this sweet milky bakery scent. The intensity wasn´t too great though and it faded pretty quick =(

-Tiffany Candles jar of hearts in Christmas Cookies, Breakfast at Tiffany´s and Buttercream Cupcake (1 gingerbread man in each scent) in the living room (24W hot plate). The scent combination was awesome though the buttercream cupcake scent has a weird sour cheesy note I am not that fond of. The scent was pretty strong and lasting power was average (4-5 hours).

Another Birdland Paradise haul

I posted about Birdland Paradise on Etsy before as I love to buy cute handmade tart warmers from her. I bought 3 more bulb warmer from her and as always she included several packs of tarts and they are usually really strong and smell awesome! Carol is just a sweetie pie, I really love her! She helped me a lot when one of my bunnies died end of August =(

I picked up one warmer with squirrels, one with rabbits and one with a pretty spring garden scenery (I´ll use that one from March or so onwards). As always these work perfectly and they are really pretty!

Daily wax melts October 2nd 2012

Today I am really happy with my choices!

-La Dolce Vita in Bunny Burp (last 2 cubes) on my 20W hot plate in the first floor. A super awesome strong fresh herbal scent. I really love this! Dolce Vita really makes amazing tarts, my new order of 27 pcs just shipped and should reach me after tomorrow! Can´t wait!

-Birdland Paradise Coconut Citrus Sorbet in my tealight warmer in the kitchen. A good coconut and citrus scent with a nice medium throw. I am not such a great fan of coconut though so it´s not a scent I would necessarily purchase.

-Ye Olde Candle Cubbard Orange Caramel Crumble in my living room in a 20W hot plate. A good orange bakery scent but not as strong as I´d like. Still like this though!

-The Bathing Garden Frosted Fruit Cake (2 cubes) in my 24W hot plate warmer in the living room. I LOVE this one! It´s so awesome! It´s a wicked strong fruity bakery scent with prominent citrus notes. I switched the warmer on 12 hrs ago and the scent is still super strong and awesome! TBG just can´t be reached by anyone else in my opinion!

Tart warmer/tart haul from Birdland Paradise (Etsy)

I love Birdland Paradise on Etsy. Carol is a total sweetheart and so wonderful to communicate with. She is producing the most beautiful tart warmers (tealight and bulb style). Yes, she makes them from scratch (clay, glaze etc) and she's the only vendor on Etsy I know making tart warmers.
What I love most is that she is using super cute rabbit motifs on her warmers (and I have 7 bunnies as they are just my fave pets).
I bought 1 tealight warmer and 2 bulb warmers this time. I already have 3 tealight warmers and an electric one from her so my collection is growing!

Carol is always sending free tarts and tealights and so many this time! Her tarts are totally awesome btw, all so far had a strong throw and great lasting power so they're worth ordering! My fave is Vanilla Oak btw!

All in all I highly recommend checking her store out!

Daily wax melts August 28th 2012

I went for woodsy scents today as it was a fine sunny early autumn day.

-Haley's Heavenly Scents Pink Lavender in a tealight warmer in the 1st floor. I used 2 cubes and the scent was fairly strong as all the other HHS I tried so far. I like pink sugar x lavender blends but HHS uses a perfumey artificial lavender instead of a herbal one so I am not exactly thrilled with this blend.

-Birdland Paradise Vanilla Oak in a tealight warmer in my kitchen. I really love this sweet woodsy vanilla, it's wonderful! Strong throw and long lasting scent. I recommend checking this shop out on Etsy! She has the most beautiful hand-crafted tealight and bulb melters (my faves!).

-Front Porch Teakwood & Cardamon On my 24W hot plate in the living room. Very strong but too masculine and cologney for my taste. Good lasting power as expected!
