-Lil Kitchen Candles Pink Candy Fluff Marshmallow in the bedroom (24W hot plate). I used both tarts though 1 might have been enough..I melt at least 1 -2 oz of wax out of habit as I want to get a proper throw. This was a very sweet candy scent, it reminded me of some Lush scent, too! Lasted all day long and was medium-strong!
-Front Porch Pink Peppermint in the first floor (25W lightbulb). I could smell both the pink and the sugar and it was a very good, refreshing and intense and lasted all day long, too!
-Pics, Petals & Scents Pink Sugar in the kitchen (tealight). This was very light however I could smell a bit of the PS. Nothing great though
-CFTKR Funnel Cake in the living room (24W hot plate). This was awesome! I didn´t expect this to be really strong but it kicked butt! I could smell a bit of almond and cinnamon, but the sweet type I can handle. I really enjoyed this sweet scent a lot and it stayed strong for at least 5-6 hours!
-Sniff My Tarts Willows Cuppy Cake/Fruit Loops in the living room (24W hot plate). This was amazing, too! I like fruit loops but only blended with other stuff as I find the pure version too harsh. The cupcake scent mellowed out the fruit loops and added a creamy and sweet note. I really liked this scent a lot! Throw was only about medium though!
Country Home Scent used to be one of my top vendors...now to be honest I didn´t have great luck with the tarts I melted in the previous months. Barely any of them had any throw as you might have noticed if you read my daily wax melts. But I used to love their stuff back in spring/summer so I don´t know what happened!
I still have about 50 or so of their tarts and it is really hard for me to try to melt through them as I usually anyway have to change out the tarts after an hour or so as I don´t get any throw.
Country Home Scent decided to quit making and selling tarts as of mid December 2012 so out of sentimental reasons I decided to pick up their 20pc Xmas sampler for $16 to see if the tarts I still have might have been from couple of bad batches. I paid a bit over $20 shipped so that was ok for me even if the tarts might perform poorly.
Here is the sampler.. I melted about 4 tarts and only 1 had a mention-worthy throw. =( The tarts are super cute though!
Anyway, farewell CHS...I am not really going to miss you =(
-Front Porch Buttermint Candy in the bedroom (24W hot plate). This scent consisted of mainly peppermint but also had a sweet note and something that was slightly off. I don´t know, didn´t care for this scent too much though I love most peppermints. Staying power and throw were good though.
-CHS Heaven´s Snow in the first floor (25W light bulb). I couldn´t smell this unless I almost dipped my nose into the hot wax. When I was standing right on top of the warmer it was a very nice sweet mint scent (I think spearmint rather than peppermint?) but it didn´t distribute through the room. A big let-down!
-Granny´s Kountry Candles Reindeer Droppings in the kitchen (tealight). Another tart with barely any throw. =(
-Sniff My Tarts Pink Fruit Loops Toasted Marshmallow (half chunk) in the living room (24W hot plate). Awesome!! Pure Fruit Loops is usually too strong for me but blended with pink sugar and toasted marshmallow it was so delicious! Strong intensity and it lasted all day long!
-LSC Vanilla Praline Zucchini Bread in the living room (24W hot plate). This smelled so awesome cold but as soon as I started melting it it smelled like vomit. Yes, just like throw up! I had to pour this out when it was not even fully melted and replaced it with the 2nd half of the SMT scent.
-CFTKR Peppermint Cake Bites in the bedroom (24W hot plate). I really enjoyed this tart. It smells like a sweet almost chocolatey peppermint scent. I replaced this with another scent (I think Granny´s Lemon Lavender?) after about 6-7 hours as the scent was gone by then.
-VDC Lemon Sugared Donuts in the first floor (25W light bulb warmer). I was able to melt all 4 in the warmer but I got zero throw from this. I am so glad I am almost done with my VDCs. I think I might even toss the last few ones as I am just hating them lol
-Granny´s Kountry Candles Sleigh Ride in the kitchen (24W hot plate). This was almost undetectable, too. I got a whiff of some typical Xmas scent here and there but overall this was pretty weak.
-Lil Kitchen Candles Serendipty (2 cubes) in the living room (24W hot plate). I love this scent so much and I am so glad I have a monster clamshell of this! It´s the typical Serendipty scent (cherry, sugar, coconut etc.) and even though I generally dislike cherry scent this is just different and totally awesome!
-Front Porch Cake Shoppe in the living room (24W hot plate). I didn´t like this scent. First it was very light and 2nd it had that weird sour or greasy ice-cream-gone-bad-smell. c
