Daily wax melts October 28th 2012

As I mentioned before I was sick on 27th so except for TBG Breathe Deeply I didn´t have anything going as I was nauseous and couldn´t have taken any kind of scent away from something strong fresh like menthol lol

-Shayz Minty Pink (2 tarts) in my bedroom (24W hot plate). This was my last attempt of making Shayz work for me and it just didn´t work lol. I could smell this but it was light and non-descript especially considering I used 2 tarts! So yea, Shayz is gone from my stash and won´t see light again any time soon lol.

-The Bathing Garden Jack Frost (2 cubes) in the first floor (24W hot plate). What a cute little snowman! This smells like a sweet peppermint and I really love this! It had a good throw and lasted all day long. I know this is a quite common scent among vendors but the way Shannon did it is awesome as always. 

-Long Cane Primitives Mexican Fried Ice Cream in my kitchen (tealight). Since I am cleaning out my stash these days I thought of trying LCP again as I was pondering if I should remove their products from my stash or keep the last tarts I have. I could barely smell anything in the package and I could smell nothing at all when it melted. In conclusion I am also getting rid of all LCP as I have no luck with this brand!

-Rosegirls Zucchini Bread Banana Cake in my living room (24W hot plate). Seems today was a last-chance-day lol. I already had put everything from RG away but was craving a banana scent (which happens really rarely) so I dug this back out. Smelled yummy cold, I used a whole huge chunk and got absolutely no scent out whatsoever. Back into the destash box it went and yes, no more RG for me!!

-CFTKR Zucchini Fluff (2 slices) in my living room (24W hot plate). This and the tart from TBG were the two that had to scent my house as I had pretty much 3 duds going on lol. This zucchini fluff scent did not disappoint. I could smell the sweetness from the fluffy marshmallow together with the creamy zucchini bread. I love this scent! And it was going strong most of the day long, too!

We celebrated a national holiday here so the kids had a day off from school and kindergarten =)

-CFTKR Sugar Milk & Lavender in my bedroom (24W hot plate). I recently posted on CFTKR´s FB fan page that I would love to see a blend of lavender and sugar milk and so to my greatest surprise and delight I received this sample with my previous order =D This smelled really strong and the sugar milk was even more dominant than the lavender. I liked it but would add a bit more lavender and a touch of something sweet as the scent was a bit tart or almost bitter. Can´t describe that better lol. Anyway, a touch of honey or fluffy marshmallow would probably make this perfect! Lasted all day and into the next day until I replaced it with a TBG Breathe Deeply tart (like Vick´s Vapo Rub) as I was feeling ill and nauseous on 27th so that was all I could stand)

-La Dolce Vita Day at the Spa (2 cubes) in the first floor (24W hot plate). This was really nice, a light-medium citrusy spa scent. Lasted all day long, too!

-Scentsationals Vanilla Woods (2 cubes) in my kitchen (tealight warmer). This was an awesome strong sweet woodsy scent. Honestly to me it smelled just like sandalwood and I really liked it! It was very strong in the beginning but mellowed out by mid of the day. I really liked this scent1

-Shayz Scentz Toastie Marshmallow (2 tarts) in my living room (24W hot plate). This had no scent throw whatsoever. I just don´t have luck with almost all my Shayz tarts so I just threw them in a box to put in a destash or something. Other people seem to be really liking Shayz but I am far from being impressed!

-Pics, Petals & Scents Iced Lemon Cookies in my living room (24W hot plate). Amazing as everything from P,P&S tends to be! A strong sweet lemon bakery scent that lasted all day long. I am so happy with this vendor!

Daily wax melts October 20th 2012

-Beaux Savons Frais Sweet Milk (2 cubes) in my bedroom (24W hot plate warmer). This was awesome! It seems to be the same fragrance oil CFTKR is using in her Sugar Milk tarts. A beautiful sweet frothy milk. This had a good throw and good staying power though I´d say the CFTKR version was a bit better.

-Shayz Scentz Mom´s Lemon Meringue Pie in my first floor (4!! tarts, 24W hot plate). In the package it smelled like lemon cleaner mixed with a sweet bakery note. I first melted 2 tarts, got no throw at all and threw 2 more in. Still no throw. I tossed the last 2 tarts as I saw no point in keeping this =(

-Scentsationals Mandarin Mango Madness in my kitchen (1 cube, tealight). I got only a very short-lived soft scent out of this so next time I´ll use 2 cubes! But this smells really great, a fresh fruity scent!

-CFTKR Orange Caramel Zucchini Bread in my living room (24W hot plate). This was a wonderful orange bakery scent with a light note of a creamy zucchini bread. Unfortunately this died quickly, after about 3-4 hours I could only get a faint whiff of this here and there.

-The Bathing Garden Pumpkin Zucchini Patch (2 cubes) in my living room (24W hot plate warmer). This had an awesome throw and lasted from the morning till I poured it out. This is a mix of a pretty neutral pumpkin with zucchini bread. By mid-day the scent started getting on my nerves though as a slightly spicier pumpkin note came out and the zucchini went totally into the background. But as in performance this was awesome (like 99% of TBG for me).

Daily wax melts October 17th 2012

-CFTKR Sugar Milk in my bedroom (24W hot plate). This was a friggin awesome scent! I actually already put this in my hot plate on 16th in the afternoon and had it going through half the night, then switched it on again in the morning and it was still going strong till the afternoon. So I think I got at least 18hrs of scent out of this tart! An amazing bedroom scent, smells like sweet frothy milk and the throw was amazing despite this being a gentle and soft scent. I really enjoyed this scent so much and will order a big bag once there is one in stock. I also recommended to Carol to introduce this blended with lavender so will see if she will eventually make one!

-Kristin´s Kandles Country Clothesline in the first floor (24W hot plate). This was a lightweight laundry scent. I really enjoyed this as it was not as intense as most laundry scents. Still it made everything smell fresh and clean so this was pretty awesome. I had it going all day long and it didn´t fade.

-Shayz Scentz Almond Cake Cookies (2 tarts!) in my kitchen (tealight warmer). I got no scent out of these tarts whatsoever. Cold these smell really good but as I said, zilch throw. =(

-Victoria´s Designer Creations Pink Zucchini Bread in my living room (24W hot plate). I am going to post about my VDC haul soon. It was far more than unpleasant. Anyway, this tart looked pretty but there was pretty much no throw at all so it was an utter disappointment

-Lasting Scent Candles Peach Vanilla Cupcake in my living room (24W hot plate). This however was awesome and had a medium-strong throw all day long. It was such a lovely sweet vanilla peach scent until I poured it out at night. I didn´t really get a bakery note but it was gorgeous nonetheless.

My saturday melts:

-CFTKR Pink Sugar Milk in my 24W hot plate warmer in the bedroom. I really love this scent! It´s a blend of pink sugar and a really creamy frothy hot milk scent. In my bedroom the throw was pretty strong but the scent itself isn´t too intense. This is a beautiful unique scent and I only have 2 more tarts of this so I ordered a big 8oz bag yesterday =)

-The Bathing Garden Sparkler Party (2 cubes) in a 24W hot plate warmer in the first floor. I believe this is a sugar cookie & mint blend however the mint is much more dominant. Overall it smelled like a creamy soft mint. It was a light scent but I still could smell it in my whole first floor and I forgot to switch off the warmer yesterday and I could still smell it lightly today in the morning. Still not a scent I´d necessarily repurchase and I wish it was a bit more intense.

-Haley´s Heavenly Scents Pink Zucchini Bread (2 cubes) in a tealight warmer in the kitchen. An awesome strong creamy zucchini bread scent with a hint of pink sugar. Like with most zucchini blends the other note was much more subtle than the zucchini. Lasted through a whole tealight (5-6 hours). But when I lightened the 2nd I couldn´t really smell anything anymore.

-Tiffany Candles Serendipity in a 24W hot plate warmer in the living room. Awesome fabulous scent! A creamy cherry vanilla sugar kinda scent with an awesome throw and great lasting power. I wasn´t so impressed by this scent on cold sniff but hot it was really great!

-Shayz Scentz Lavender Serendipity (2 fluted melts) in the other 24W hot plate in my living room. The same Serendipity scent blended with lavender and surprisingly the combination works really well! I loved this scent and would definitely repurchase this!

Daily wax melts October 6th 2012

This day wasn´t really a waxy day as I was out with the kids for most of the day. I switched on my melters and got a few hours out of the tarts so I can review them but not say much about longevity!

-Shayz Scentz Pink Linen Sheets on my 20W hot plate in the first floor. A somewhat weird scent for me. It´s a pink sugar and laundry detergent mix. I am melting this today, too, and I can say the throw and lasting power don´t seem too great.

-Better Homes & Gardens Cranberry Chutney (2 cubes) in a tealight warmer in the kitchen. This smelled nice cold but when melted it developed a weird note. Overall not a huge fan of this scent! Throw was quite good though!

-Scentsy Black Ruby (2 cubes) in a 25W lightbulb warmer in the living room. This was ok, had only a light scent throw and was very ...ummm.. non-descript. Wouldn´t repurchase and will have a hard time actually using this up!

-Tiffany Candles Paradise in my 24W hot plate warmer in the living room. A really pretty scent, I believe it´s strawberry, cotton candy and creamy vanilla or something. It smelled really nice and had a medium throw. I just received these a few days ago so I will let them cure longer before I use these again.

The last day of September! Fall now has really begun with cool crisp days, quite a bit of rain and a more golden sun than we had in summer!

-Tiffany Candles Stress Relief in my bedroom in my new pink 24W hot plate warmer. I switched to a hot plate in my bedroom as the light of the lightbulb warmer was too bright for sleeping. This was an awesome tart, very strong and long-lasting (I think I had it in my warmer for 2 consecutive days!) and it smelled very much like the Eucalyptus Spearmint from B&BW. Really liked this a lot!!

-Lasting Scent Candles Cool Mountain Lake in the 1st floor in my 20W hot plate warmer. A nice laundry detergent kind of scent. To me it smelled at first like downy mixed with mint but later on it was just a laundry scent.

-Front Porch Amish Friendship Bread in a tealight warmer in my kitchen. This honestly smelled like everyone else´s zucchini bread! Not like the almond-based usual AFB scent. It had a light scent throw and lasted all day long. I think it would have thrown much better in a hotplate warmer!

-Shayz Scentz Zucchini Macaroon (2 tarts) in my 24W hot plate in the living room. This smelled just like a raspberry bakery scent, I couldn´t really detect the zucchini scent in this. Scent throw was really just light-medium and for using 2 tarts I just would expect more! Wasn´t really too fond of this!

-Country Home Scent Mango Peach Salsa in my Scentsy Whoot warmer in the living room. This threw quite well but I just didn´t like this version of MPS as much as the one I had from Sugar & Spice Gourmet. Therefore this really performed well for just being in a lightbulb warmer!

-Three Sisters Soap Got Milk? in my 25W lightbulb warmer in my bedroom. My fave bedroom scent. Such a sweet but clean baby scent. A bit like a baby bath or shampoo. I believe that Kristin´s Kandles Baby's Bath is actually the same scent as they smell so much alike. Scent throw was great and longevity was awesome for such a small 1oz cup. I got 2 days out of this scent shot!

-Kristin´s Kandles Ozark Honey in my 20W hot plate warmer in the first floor. Kristin´s Kandles really perform amazingly for me. In a hot plate they are pretty strong and they last long. I recommend giving them a curing time of 2-3 weeks as then they start to bloom to their full potential! Ozark Honey was a soft floral mixed with honey. It was really filling my first floor and even wafted down into my living area!

-Three Sisters Soap Lavender Apples & Oak in my kitchen in the tealight warmer. A very nice strong fresh scent bordering toilet cleanser. I actually wanted to pop it in the warmer in my 1st floor and the ozark honey in the kitchen but I was scatterbrained as always lol. Scent throw and lasting power were good though!

-CFTKR Pumpkin Marshmallow Sugar Cookies in my 24W hot plate in the living room. This was a strong scent but I really disliked it, it made me slightly sick. Wouldn´t melt this again but as a general thing CFTKR tarts are super awesome! It´s just subjective that this scent is not for me. I replaced it with something else but I can´t remember what it was!

-Shayz Scenty Pink Sugared Cookie in my 25W lightbulb warmer in the living room. Shayz don´t perform well in lightbulb warmers. I just got a light pink sugar scent and it didn´t last very long. I will always use 2 Shayz tarts and only on hot plates or in tealight warmers.

Daily Wax Melts September 18th 2012

Another fall day =) 

-Scentsy Just Breathe (1 cube) in my bedroom. This was extremely pleasant and refreshing. It was pretty strong even with just one cube! This smells like eucalyptus and peppermint.

-Nellie´s Acres palm wax tart in Lavender Vanilla in my 20W hot plate melter in the 1st floor. This had a  very light scent throw only though what I could detect stayed very well but as I said, just a faint scent. I don´t seem to be very lucky with palm wax tarts in general even though I like how easy they are to clean up (as I neither need to pour out the hot wax nor need to freeze the bowl to pop the wax out) but in general the scent throw so far has been too weak for my taste.

-Shayz Scentz Pink Brownie in my kitchen (one chocolate bar). This was surprisingly super strong and stayed well most of the day. This was a mix of chocolate and pink sugar and was a really good scent and I enjoyed it very much!

-CFTKR Autumn Magic in my living room in my 24W hot plate warmer. This was a great fall scent albeit not spicy at all. This had a sort of creamy slightly perfumey scent and the scent throw and staying power was great!

Showing 4 melts instead of 3 today =) as I said before I always melt in my bedroom but used to do so only at night until recently when I got my rabbit bulb warmers to replace my tealight melter. Now I like to start melting in the morning =)

-Country Home Scent Snuggle Baby in my 25W bulb warmer in the bedroom. This was super strong. I think it's a mix of Pink Sugar and some kinda baby powder. It was too powdery and perfumey for my taste but it was a good bedroom scent. In my bulb warmer this survived all day long!

-A Breath of French Air Fresh Linen (2 tarts) in my 20W warmer in the first floor. This was such an awesome sweet laundry scent and it had a great throw and lasting power! This was different from other laundry scents as it had a pleasant sweet note to it. Loved it!

-Shayz Scentz Pink Danish (2 tarts) in a 25W bulb warmer in my kitchen. This had absolutely zero throw but it might have been the bulb warmer, I think Shayz throw better on a hot plate. Off cold throw it was pretty much only pink sugar.

-Pics, Petals & Scents Iced Lemon Cookie in my 24W hot plate warmer. This smelled wonderful, a sweet lemon bakery scent. Throw was about medium and lasting power was mediocre (4 hrs maybe). I think I'll let my other tarts from this vendor cure a bit longer.

Shayz Scentz haul

I never ordered from Shayz before so I took advantage of a sale where I got free shipping, 15% off and some scent shots as extras which I though was an awesome deal.
My order shipped within 10-14 days if I remember correctly and came nicely wrapped and in perfect condition.
I ordered 14 six-packs of flutes melts and some others in cute shapes (chocolate bars, little bread braids). I also got 4 sinus relief singles as the flu season is starting now.
Overall I am having mixed results with Shayz but I think I like the majority of what I melted so far.

A cold rainy day! Much to my liking but my 7 rabbits in the garden weren't happy lol

-Kristin's Kandles Lavender Mist (not pictured) in the 1st floor in my 20W hot plate. Kristin's tarts are amazing when you let them cure for 2-3 weeks prior to melting. This was like any lavender air freshener kinda scent, not overly herbal, rather artificial and fresh. I liked it though and it was pleasant and long-lasting.

-CFTKR Cranberry Jelly in a tealight warmer in the kitchen. This was very weak but I'd blame this either on the. warmer (CFTKR is best in a 24W hot plate) or that I got it in a destash so it could be older. The scent is great, a fresh berry scent great for fall.

-Shayz Scentz Amish Zucchini Bread in my 24W warmer in the living room. I used 2 tarts as they're rather small for such a big room. A very nice almond-cinnamon-creamy zucchini scent. Smelled awesome, lasted well and had a nice medium throw.

I was out and about most of the afternoon but I opened my melters to return to a wonderfully scented home ^..^

-Shayz Scentz Apple Mint Jelly in my 20W warmer in the 1st floor. I love this scent and will purchase a bigger pack next time I order! A refreshing blend of a crisp apple and refreshing mint. Had a good scent throw and lasting power.

-Rosegirls Chunk Wax Cake Melt in Royal Sweet Potato Pie in a tealight warmer in my kitchen. So far almost all of the RG chunks I melted were pretty much unscented or smelled very faint when melting =( this was a sweet and spicy scent but I could only smell it lightly. Not sure how I feel about RG yet but I have 2 hauls to post about =)

-Candles By Victoria in Pop Rocks in my 24W hot plate warmer in my living room. This is a fresh fizzy fruity kinda scent and it totally knocked my socks off. A really strong scent I received in a destash package and my first ever CBV scent shot. Really impressed with this!

-Shayz Scentz Sinus Relief in my new 3-piece rabbit bulb warmer in my bedroom. I normally don't post the melts going on in my bedroom as I melt them at night (normally any kinda lavender/sweet dreams/baby bath kinda melts) however today I set up one of my new rabbit bulb warmers in my bedroom so I decided to melt a sinus relief tart and take a nap. This smelled great (like eucalyptus, lemon and honey) and helped me sleep despite my stuffy nose. Highly recommended strong scent!
